    Truth about NEFC/ECNL

The truth is that all NEFC teams will become Breakers EXCEPT for the ECNL teams. The Breakers mothership and Lee Billiard are going to form their own ECNL teams from scratch and coach them themselves. Yes NEFC elite will be a major feeder to these teams but the elite teams are just not getting the ECNL tag.

That's the biggest load of sh!t and I expect to read this type of crap over the coming weeks. You know nothing about the arrangement nor do you know what the structure will look like. Nice try though. I'm sorry your club is going to take a major hit and this will be your petty little way showing how upset you are. Try and stir as much crap as you can. Hopefully, Perspective will change teams and obsess over someone from Stars or FCB. LOL!

Plenty of areas have 3 teams close to each other. Penn Fusion, FC Bucks and FC Delco. Match Fit, PDA and World Class. Why can't Boston?

As an NEFC parent this is what I was afraid of and what I have heard. When Scorps originally partnered with Breakers the ECNL slot was held by Scorps and when Breakers found out they were not going to control those teams as they thought they were they ended the partnership. Now the ECNL slot is held by Breakers so when that partnership ends in a few years the ECNL slot will stay with the Breakers and any team they field themselves, and NEFC will be out in the cold again. So what to do now??

Really? NEFC's boys teams are going to become Breakers? That seems a little strange, don't you think?

Oh really, poor fictitious NEFC parent ... what to do, what to do ... should you wear the little black Gucci dress or should you wear the black Gucci dress ... what to do, what to do .. poor fictitious NEFC parent. Club soccer is like the New England weather ... blink and it will change.

In my opinion, the whole reason behind GDAP was to help the NWSL teams and the league to stay afloat after the World Cup and Olympics are behind it. That's why 3 NWSL teams got new franchises. I'm glad one of them is Breakers. I hope it helps them and the league. How it relates back to NEFC in the long run I have no idea. It's good for kids in this area to have three clubs in ECNL. It's a good soccer market in Boston and it can support 3 teams.

As an outsider, this deal makes sense for both clubs. NEFC has the youth development structure ECNL and other associates are looking for. Breakers has the top of the pyramid (NWSL and the pro team) and the ECNL badge. Both parties need each other. If Breakers were to ditch NEFC, they would have NO youth development foundation. This would likely lead to their ECNL demise. Building the youth infrastructure that NEFC has takes time and talent that Breakers do not have. Also, NEFC cannot run roughshod over Breakers because they have the "prized" badge.

                    Both need one another.

You are not NEFC parent because the real NEFC parents know what is going on.

Begs the question of who BB will be partnered with for their home and away weekends in ECNL competition? A central premise of ECNL is that two area teams travel together to play one game each on Sat/Sun vs. two other clubs. And vice versa on home weekends.

Anybody out there figured out how it's going to work with Stars, Scorps and now third wheel BB, all being from eastern Mass?

Worried about 2nd wheel falling off? Maybe it is time to replace the broken and squeaky wheel.

If teams want a competitive weekend then stars and nefc will be travel partners. Comparable level of competition. In the past teams would get a good challenge from stars and weak scorpions team.
