Fenway Park- New home of the Revs?

A very obscure article from Goldman Sachs are exploring the possibility of a deal between John Henry, Robert Kraft and the City of Boston in a three way land deal swap of Fenway Park and Widdett Circle in South Boston. This would potentially land a new 60,000 seat baseball stadium for the Red Sox in midtown Boston and the iconic Fenway Park becoming the new home of the New England Revolution professional soccer team. Fenway park would need minor upgrade seating and field configuration renovations, as the article stated. I've tried to share the link but it's almost impossible to upload. Still attempting.

Wow, are you kidding? That makes a lot more sense than that 2024 Olympic bid!

This makes no sense. 60,000 is too big for a baseball stadium and the site lines at Fenway are horrible for soccer

I pray this has a semblance of truth to it, love the Revs and a great soccer market here. As a taxpayer in Boston, I'd pay for this.

Ok , 10,00 less seats. Quite the deal breaker.

Fens area is a major university/college hub in Boston, with public transportation already in place there, it's a huge market for the Revolution. Henry can finally get the downtown stadium he always wanted.

                          Ugh, nobody would go.
Anfield, Emirates, Parkhead, even Stamford Bridge, maybe.
                          But no Utd references, please

Rev's tickets prices will be more than their fans can afford. Corporate partnerships will benefit. Sound familiar?
