I suspect she's done. Let a younger player have a chance. Now if only the thug could break a wrist.

Really. Maybe she thinks if a few more thousand go down her daughter will get the call up.

Unless my son becomes Katlyn that's not going to happy. Watching the terrible U20 game should not give anyone confidence

Looks like the girls just got a vacation anyway. Did any anyone have the brains to check the playing surface before the entire team got on a plane to go to Hawaii. Hey, the victory tour should be over. Please explain to me why you need to go to Hawaii to play a scrimmage? The answer is obvious. Dumb dumb USSF

Do you think field conditions are the real reason? It seems pretty strange to me at such a late date.

Yes, I would say that is the reason. Like many of their generation, they are ignorant ,prima donnas who truly think the world revolves around them, and think virtually any action is justified to get their way. In this case their 'way' is getting to play on real grass instead of artificial turf. So what better way to stick it to those in control than waiting until the last minute to 'make a stand'. Who cares about the thousands of people who bought tickets and made vacation plans around the game. And if they wait until the day before the game, they still get a nice little trip to Hawaii.

Ya I guess those prima donas have a real problem playing on this field.

Thanks for helping make my point. I'm guessing that photo was taken ten yards out of bounds. You have a prime time international game cancelled the day of the game AND THE ONLY photo (or video report) showing the 'unplayable' field is that one photo with no context? Don't be so naïve. What I wrote about them is perfectly accurate. Spoiled, prima donnas.

Some stadiums on the victory tour have been noticeably substandard. The scrubbed football turf looked particularly bad at Ford Field in Detroit, and the presentation of the compact field in Chattanooga was even more abysmal than the stormy weather that night.

And next up for the U.S. after Hawaii? The Alamodome in San Antonio, an infamous indoor turf on which Australia’s Kyah Simon tore her ACL in October 2013 while playing the U.S. The Alamodome turf is also where Morgan initially injured her ankle, an ailment which developed into a stress reaction and kept her out almost seven months, into June 2014.

And still, in this age where videos are posted of the most mundane things in life, the ONLY evidence we have of a sub-standard field is ONE photo taken so you can't even tell if it's part of the playing field.
