Maybe they've already adopted the Scorpion dysfunctional mantra of "You get what you get and don't get upset."

Too bad. You don't get to pick coach and nobody cares how much you pay.

My company merged (was aquired) and the sales force was consilidated same here. Some will stay some will go in time - if the coaches do well with their product and that product is your kid be happy you chose wisely. You all have some options, some more than others do your homework and you won't be on here complaining a year from now.

By homework do you mean check out the coach of the team my son wants to try out for before we commit to attending because everyone has try outs the same day? I agree, I'll just check the list online. Oh? Wait?

                Directly from the Scorpions website...
"Coaches: Coaching assignments for all teams will be made prior to tryouts."

Maybe the assignments have been made, but they're just not going to tell anybody...?

Which is exactly how youth sports should be. Go have fun, learn some
Skills, make new friends. Most of these kids won't want to play in college, and for those that do there are known pathways. Figure out what you are paying hourly for weekly practices, pre-game warmup and games. You are looking at roughly $15/hour which is right in line with every other activity your kid might be involved in. NPL/ECNL/DAP IS MORE EXPENSIVE, more intense, and not for everyone (even when they have the skill)

Except this is a business. Before my child tries out somewhere I'd like to know who the coach will be. Because club soccer is an oligopoly we don't have the luxury of trying out at several clubs so it's important to know who a coach will be prior to. I'd rather not pay a decent sum of money to have my kid coached by a scrub.

You can go to any number of tryouts, at many different clubs, luxury or not

Very surprised that they made DC head coach of the U16 DAP.
If your son is on the small side unless he's a midfielder you can forget about getting a spot on his team - doesn't matter how good he is. He only looks for the player who is bigger stronger, quicker than others.

BA isn't coaching at all? And who is RF who is coaching the 18 DAP?
