Having survived u12 tryouts I am curious about the hell that u13 brings. What was your experience with u13 team placement? If you take the top u12 A team in the club, do all of the girls tend to make one of the top two teams at u13? Are there girls that go from A team to C team? Do you see a flood of girls from outside the club making teams at this age? I figure NPL and ECNL will be on everyone's minds this season.

Experience showed a few players moved around and a couple new faces. U13 adds satellite team kids competing for spots so it will be different I assume.

Well when you have been told for the last two years "we are grooming your kid for ECNL" and the you end up on the satellite elite team.. That is hell; especially when you realize you have been fleeced for around 6K.

U13 is Move to 11 v 11
U13 is the official move to 11 v 11. All clubs are looking for more good players at every level, and they started looking a month ago.
Most clubs secure contracts for the majority of their roster BEFORE tryouts. This includes returners, and recruits. There are usually 1 or 2 spots in case The Mia shows up. Most new players have already had contact with the coach and/or attended a practice as a guest. The tryout circuit is essentially a show.
