Parent anxiety over loss of future playing time works wonders.

I get all of my medical opinions on this site. It saves me the $10.00 co-payment at my doctor's office. To that end, my left arm has been numb for several hours, my chest has alot of pain and I taste copper in my mouth. Should I be concerned?

I hate to tell you this, but the copper IS a problem.

              Rest.

Ice if it's a new injury, heat if it's an older injury.

Apply heat as hot as you can bear it, but only for about 15 minutes. Moist heat is better than dry heat so try soaking in a tub. Do not reapply heat for at least 2 hours.

Medical facilities may use ultrasound to ally heat to an area because it penetrates the tissue much better so check with your doctor for treatment availability.

what's wrong with not responding if you don't know-why the sarcasm and anger when someone is looking for help-some of you people need help

My mother was a WWII nurse and had a lot of remedies that have probably been forgotten by modern medicine that worked well for us growing up. One of her favorites was hot Epsom salt compresses for the more than average bumps and bruises we might have.

You might also try drilling a hole into the ankle and letting the evil spirits out

Now that is funny! Except the kid is freaking out because the parent just headed down to the basement looking for the toolbox.

Leeches or bloodletting might work too.

OK, sorry, you are right. Let's get serious.

First question the orthopedic is going to ask you. Does your kid play DAP, Region 1, Maple D1, D2, or D3, or MASC?
