Just because you enter a tournament it does not mean you are as good as the winners. Particularly since GPS lost 0-3 to one of them.

Would you please turn off your computer

A little dedeuctive reasoning for you.... Gps lost to surf yes but GPS beat the crew who beat the surf. You can't just give these boys any credit for playing at a high level and making it to the semis. 15 of the 17 kids are from mass nh and maine. last time i checked Dalas cup was pretty high ranked!

GPS lost to the two teams in the finals. They are not even close.

Golden State beat Crew 4-2, then Surf beat Golden 3-1. Surf must have had a bad game against Crew. Maybe they are arguing about it on LA TS.

Just checked out the Dallas Cup website. GPS was one of only 2 teams in any age group from the East Coast to make the Semifinals.

Whatever club you represent must have lost to GPS, so where does that leave your club?

World class tournament? You must be brainwashed by GPS a lot. Believe me, all groups up to age 18 are low class tournament. Funny, bloody hell funny.

Good for GPS. A good showing.
Who won the tournament last year....or the year before?
Exactly!! You have no idea. Actually few if any really know or care.

Even if it were important, what is the meaning or significance of a club that pools players from various states (not just towns), sends them to a tournament and.......doesn't win? Is this supposed to say something.....anything.....or nothing about GPS?

Good for the kids to play in a competitive tournament with decent teams, but it is not as though the Mass NPL team went and did really well.

It's all marketing with GPS. Could GPS MA NPL have done just as well? Probably but they didnt. By attempting to broaden its base in other states they promissed the notion of a 'national' GPS team. So GPS dumped on MA team. Can't have it both ways GPS. Nobody here gives a crap about your FL or NC operations.

To what end? What is the benefit of sending a 'National' team to a tournament with non-National teams if you are not going to win? I know that this sounds like 'win or don't come home', but I don't see the benefit on any level of sending such a team, unless your ultimate goal is to send this team abroad as a 'representative of the USA'....?? Otherwise why show that your all-star team, which was made up of kids from different states, cannot beat one of the many California clubs?
Wouldn't it have been better to send your Mass NPL team, which is very good, to compete and show what a great job that GPS has done in Mass?

According to GS, this "National" team is the 5th ranked team in Massachusetts.

If they played in a league in Massachusetts, they'd be #1 in a hurry. They are just a tournament team for GPS.
