Valeo U13 boys should have been at the Dallas Cup. I have been proposing this from day 1 to the coaches and administrators but only to fall on deaf ears.

Dallas Cup? Start with the NEFC tournament first. Win here before you travel. Maybe New Hampshire, Connecticut, Rhode Island etc. Your not that good.

U13 Valeo can't even win a tournament in MA!

This and the prior post clearly not written by Valeo parents.....probably GPS parents stirring the pot. Congrats in Dallas. My son was at school, here plying ball, and hanging with his friends...and very happy

GPS National team roster

The way I look at this team is the opportunity given to the boys to be able to compete in the top levels of US soccer for the age group!. It's really that simple. The roster for the Dallas Cup has 9 NPL Mass players 3 Maine players 2-3 NH kids and then a few sprinkled in from a few other states. I do know one of the boys that usually plays with this team did not go because of personal reasons but in fairness I would venture to say there is more kids from the NPL team that could of made the trip but that flies in the face of what the National team is supposed to be.

After watching the GPS NPL team at NEFC, it is fair to say that there is nothing special about the soccer being played in Texas or CA or any other warm state other than a longer season. This is encouraging on the one hand because there are many teams not far behind GPS. I understand Valeo U13 had a hard time at NEFC, but were missing key players.

This is discouraging on the other hand, because, well, there is nothing all that special about the GPS NPL team as far as soccer skills. It's the same product we see the USA put out year after year and it's the same across all the states.

Another team among the myriad of GPS All-Star teams handpicked from their regions with looks like the same faces.The other players and parents in the organization must have had enough by now.

So how is this different then what the Stars sand Breakers do when creating ECNL teams???

Do you think those girls all play on the same team from the same region? Isn't that a benefit of having a regionalized club?

Best post I have seen on here in a long time. I usually only follow the girls threads and stopped posting on TS a long time ago because of the pervasiveness of this "dick" issue. I think I may borrow your tag line and start posting on the girls threads again.

GPS u13 National team advances out of the bracket into quarter finals. Won 2 of 3 in group stage and got one of three wild cards to advance! Way to go boys, continue to make us proud.

Nothing wrong in having a regionalized club but don't expect for people to care about them.

People care about things in their backyard or communities. If you play little league and your team is out of Medway and they represent the new england region then people will care.when you have a team from all over new england and other states what are they really representing ??? Sorry no one cares.
GPS model is not building anything special. Make us feel special about our state and maybe you will get the response you are so desperately looking for.

Okay so there's 10 of the best players from Massachusetts GPS NPL TEAM that just had an amazing opportunity representing GPS at the Dallas cup, to me that's pretty special and to have that opportunity is even better. I think people need to get over the fact that because of the size of the club and the resources available if your not playing academy GPS IS th next best option in mass. It's going to be interesting to see how the rest of this year shakes outbut I'm pretty sure you to see a number of GPS teams at the top of the table.
