DBDB, why didn't you send your kid to Stonehill or Assumption? Then you could have avoided the dreaded land of D3. And they both have grad rates over 40%.

This needs repeating. Why do you care, Perspective/OCDMan whether anyone, including BTDT, chooses to send their kids to D1, D2 or D3 if you are satisfied with the choices you have made? Anyone who keeps pounding the same drum sure does come across as someone trying to rationalize their decision.
Still trying to convince the forum your son's decision to go D3 as opposed D1 is the right choice? Why? Nobody cares. If D3 was right for your kid, Perspective, that's great for your kid. If someone else makes a different decision, why do you care? It's not your kid and whether they make a mistake or not is nothing to you.
Funny how you blame BTDT for trying to convince people that his way is the way to do it when you have been doing it for years now. I've always said that you constantly project onto others your own behavior. Thus is just another example.
And please do not bore the forum with another post of accusing me of being of being BTDT or whatever acronym you intend to use. I am a poster who had one kid go D3 and transfer to another D3 when the decision to change majors came about and another kid who went D1 and remained at the school all 4 years. Both played soccer. The D3 for 2 years before transferring. The D1 played all 4 years as did all of her classmates with one exception, a kid from the west coast.
Now I'm sure your next post will say something to this affect, "BTDT, it is you that keeps pounding that drum", but you see, Perspective, I am not BTDT. All I know is for years now you continue to harp on the same old, same old. Why? It certainly not going to change the decisions BTDT has made for his kids or decisions anyone else is going to make for theirs. So why continue to put so much energy into wasting your time as well as ours? When you can actually contribute something new to the discussion, feel free to do so. In the meantime, STFU!

Originally posted by Unregistered View PostWell, hello there, STFU. We'll consider believing you are not BTNT as soon as we see you appropriately him out on telling others what to do. Or have you seen no evidence of that every single day, berating and bashing others for their choices obsessionally??? A couple of us do harp on his one punitive choice IN RESPONSE TO the hypocrisy of him continually telling others what they should do. Not to mention that such an expert who has all the answers and is trying to make some agenda points with transferring in reality had just about the worst outcome anyone could imagine. But nevertheless he is supposed to be our lord and savior.

P, you may want to tone it down a bit. When you let BTDT (and perhaps a couple of others who enjoy yanking your chain) get under your skin your valid points get lost.
But, we can agree on a few things. BTDT is a miserable failure as a human being and as a father. He let his ego get in the way of doing the right thing for older daughter. BTDT's advice is worthless. BTDT is a huge hypocrite and blowhard. When called out on things, he resorts to name calling and mud throwing instead of substantive responses.

It seems that BTDT is in fact indefensible. Boy, what a waste of a D1 education and all teh advantages he was born with.
