He wanted to see which girls were [b]REALLY[\b] committed. The Seacoast girls thought scoring on the field would get it done.

Some college coaches have a philosophy about not starting freshman players. In the event that the freshman can be an impact player, then some will give them a coveted starting position in some games. It's a freshman thing. Looking at the stats, it seems that in comparison to the other freshman, only one seemed to earn what she got if that is his prevailing philosophy.

The entire back half of Patriot is such a crummy pack of teams. Patriot League is the perfect argument for playing D3 and getting the better education.

Except that the Patriot League schools do provide a comparable education, and in some instances better...just like the ACC, Pac-12, and Big 10.

Comparable to what? For the most part they are not even as good an education as those big state schools in ACC, Pac-12 and Big 10, never mind the top D3s.

Take out the two service academies and what's left? Not much. Colgate CC is probably the next best.

You can get just as good an education at Colgate, Bucknell and Holy Cross as any of the NESCACs. Doing well at any of those schools will get you just as far and into the same law and med schools as any of those D3s. If you don't understand that you have no clue.

P.S. See BTDT, I'm not just about plugging the D3s.

Stop trying to spoon TBTF, Defective. Those are perfectly decent schools but let's not conflate them with Bowdoin, Middlebury, Wesleyan, etc. People on this board may not be aware of the different weights put on these colleges by grad and professional school admissions committees but that doesn't mean the differences don't exist. Had you said Brown, Cornell, Dartmouth you would have had a point but not these little Ivy pretenders.

Are the ones you named a little harder to get in? Sure, but not by much, and Colgate is arguable. My point is that they are very much above threshold for whatever you want to do. A 3.8 GPA with the same MCAT or LSAT at the schools I named are going to get you just as far as at the ones you named 95% of the time. All of them are top 30ish LACs.

I guess we'll never find out why he was let go.

I'm not sure if you could put Bucknell on the same level as Holy Cross...

Bucknell doesn't have high SAT or GPA requirements as Holy Cross or even Colgate for that matter.

US News ranks Colgate at 22 among LACs, Bucknell at 32, and Holy Cross at 34. The numbers I have seen suggest that Colgate's students have slightly higher SAT scores on average, but Bucknell's are as high as those of Holy Cross.

The poster below showed you that you don't quite know what you are talking about. +/- 10 rankings spots in US News is nothing. All 3 are comparable. Give a slight edge to Colgate if you want. Of the 3, though, Bucknell offers the greatest range in departments and resources, especially with engineering.

Enough already...they're all good schools relatively close to one another. There are thousands of applicants that would love to attend school there.
