How about credit to the kid for bouncing back from a low that most here could not imagine and ending up at a school where almost none of our kids could go.

1) All roads lead to early August at this point. The only things to look for between then are the 2015 schedule announced in May generally and the asst coaches summer training plan.
2) Make sure your kid doesn't coast in academics the last semester. No surprise bad grades or graduation problems.
3) If he is nursing injuries in club soccer or another HS sport, take him out and let it heal. No hero stuff.
4) D1 kids are generally the best on their teams and thus are used to arriving after the summer a little out of shape. NBD in HS. Huge mistake in D1 soccer, the most common. The first week in camp, fitness trials (Beep, etc.) are run and it will be noted where your son stands on this. You won't get a redo. Make sure he follows the training plan and enters the camp healthy and in the best shape of his life.
5) Often there are unofficial captain's practices in the summer.
6) Good luck!
