Feels like you had this link for some personal reason and since you were called out on TS you felt the need to show your cards.
If you search in Google the link to the entire report shows up. You do not just get the specific page. I have seen similar reports for other colleges before, so I do not think it is anything special. I believe it is a requirement to file those reports annually.

Maybe significant playing time as a freshman is more important than paying 50k to sit on the bench at BC or UConn.

      Just saying

Exactly. There's a whole slew of reasons why a player chooses one college over another - academic goals, social fit, location, finances, soccer program, coach, likelihood to play, etc. Players consider all of this in the decision making process. I think most have made choices that work best for THEM. No need to berate their choices.

For most kids the academics should come first and with different considerations as per the individual. If your kid is fortunate enough to be able to combine sport and a high level of academics then head off to Duke with a scholarship. If however, one of the two is not so strong then you go where you can to get what you want. If money is a big issue then you take the scholarship where you can and make as much as possible with the academics. Schools have honors program that are highly regarded. But, making the sport the highest priority without some realistic aspirations of playing professional ball, seems like you are missing the boat.

Oh - excuse me - the 50k is for an education, not sitting on the bench. The bench part is voluntary and free.

Do you mean to tell me that there are no Bolts or Revs players going to D2 or D3 schools, or is it too embarrassing to show that some do not go to D1 schools?
The pressure must be very very high.

The pressure must be very very high.
Sure there will be some not going D1. Recruting for those is a bit later, lists may not be complete, etc.

But yes the pressure is intense. Just read TS and you'll see many players are criticized for their choices even though it's their choice to make what works best for them.

Yeah, it must be awful to have to go to a D3 school, such as a NESCAC. Sure would be embarrassing.
