And Maple is a viable soccer league? Maple is beyond comical. That league shoul'dve been torn apart years ago. It's absolutely laughable how poor Maple is. There are no standards as to what teams get in. Anyone's garage soccer team gets in and plays. People actually pay for that crap??

Yeah, we are really craving for you to believe how good the GPS NPL B13 team is. Until then, we'll be all tossing and turning. Why don't you go f yourself, expert. Probably a geek dad with an unathletic son.

Someone from your club is quite anxious for the validation.

Oh get over yourself GPS. You whined for two weeks after NEFC tied your boys. Now you pronounce your boys MA champions but haven't even played the top teams in MA much less proven anything in R1. Of course you are going to get called on your bs. If you don't like it start a GPS propaganda only thread.

That is precisely why Maple is not looked upon as a potential scouting and recruiting point of destination.Once again, everyone know this.

First, aside from the GPS NPL team, the first three MAPLE teams in U13 are equal of better than the NEP teams. As for U12 and U14 GPS NPL teams....they too are not near the same relative calibre as the u13 team
You mean to tell me that Maple's U13 Blazers are equal to the NPL NEFC U13? Or for that matter, either of the Valeo Maple u13's are equal to NPL Bruno NPL or GPS NPL?
                Not a chance.

Is the GPS NPL Elite U13B that good or is the NEP weak??
They are dominating the division....with the exception of one game against NEFC, during which time NEFC played 'not to lose' soccer.
They are excellent and my son recognized kids from a couple of different g/mps teams he played against in the past. I've seen plenty of better/as strong players individually all over the state but that combined team is the most physically mature, technically sound and aggressive on 50 /50's that I've watched in this 2001-2002 age group over the last 2.5 years. Looks like a nice group of very focused soccer only players.

                      Thanks coach!

GPS sucks and while you may have a strong age group here and there, it a 'for profit' company and they will take everyone's money and because there's 50 different team names, you have no clue what team you're really on. Coupled with multiple coaches in a season, it is not the best development for your kid, not to mention the cost.

I will also go out and watch them play. I'll be looking at their schedule. I think the " GPS sucks" comment screams immaturity and quite frankly a little envy.

It's the same old insecurities about club placement and development. The GPS NPL B13's are at Woburn High School this weekend. If the afternoon is free, my son and I are going to drop by to watch. He does know a couple of boys from last year's ODP involvement. very good players.

Definitely not envious. As for the immature comment, then many people must be immature, because I am quoting the many parents I speak with that have left the club. People don't realize that there are far better coaches at some of the bigger clubs, but people get sucked in by the accent and think being an English coach makes them superior to other coaches. What has England done since 1966? Reality is the GPS coaches get paid a couple of hundred bucks per week, live with host families, and they are here to have fun. You will always get a few decent coaches, but they are few and far between.
