And in being so, just like the coaches of the Revs, he is a target of those parents whose kids along the way did not make the cut, especially the DAP cut. Call it want you want, but most of the BS on TS is nothing but sour grapes from parents whose kids were ejected from the BOLTS program, not those who are somehow passionate about NU soccer

I would bet heavily that the anti NU posts are coming from parents who have never been to a NU game and could not give you the first intelligent fact about the team. And I would also bet it is contained to a very small group....probably easily identified.
The only problem here is that if he was winning there would not be any talk about him losing...winning solves a lot of problems...He is a soccer coach and being one there is only one measurement of success...I think the only way this season will be successful will be to make playoffs...The "rebuilding year" excuse does not work for a vet. coach.

That last line makes absolutely no sense, but you know that already.

Nu plays 6/7 freshman and 2/3 sophomores every game. Call it whatever you want but it is a young team for sure.

Why does he play 6/7 freshmen? You mean start? The older players are his recruits too. Doesn't sound right.

That is correct, and of course as you can easily imagine would be a major source of discontent. Might be an investment in the future, particularly if coaches perceive that older guys would fare no better, but still sows discontent fromt hose who have put in long hours over a couple of years, some who played a lot last year or the year before.

Any score for BC NC State? Gametracker stopped working.

And if you're worried about your future with the team, that can start to get into your head and mess with your performance (if you even get a chance to play). I guess having a young team means we have something to look forward to the next few years.

Maybe, but maybe a lot of those freshmen get cut or benched. If guys on the bench could be helping to win now, why wait til next year? None of it sounds like a well coached team or would be attractive to a very good recruit.

Look at UML squeaking out a win. I'm not the NU "basher" but I don't recall seeing a score that lopsided in a college game in a long time.

UML needs to be patient. Finishing in the middle of the pack in AE would be great progress for them. This win is a step in that direction. Congrats to them.
