BU @ HC Tuesday night. Both teams competitive in the Patriot league. Who will come out on top?

Harvard seems to be firing on all cylinders right now. Shutting out Yale while continuing their barrage of shots and Ivy-leading offense should take them far -- maybe all the way to the NCAA tournament. One thing I noticed is that their conversion ratio of shots to goals is pretty weak, but their shots and SOG are far above the other teams. Seems like they still have some work to do.

It should be an interesting match-up with Cornell next weekend, with the most prodigious offense facing the most prodigious defense in the Ivies. After the loss to Penn last weekend, another Cornell defeat could put Cornell out of the running for the championship. Having watched some of the Dartmouth/Princeton game, I wasn't real impressed with the play of either team. My take is that we may see Penn and Harvard battling it out for first place once again this year. Thoughts?

Agree with your points but do you see Brown as a factor? Not as good as a few years back, but they seem to be able to scrape up a result or two.

they beat UCLA earlier in season when UCLA was #1. Since though have lost to Lehigh

Harvard did not have a great game against winless Yale. Good enough was all it was. If they don't pick it up again, they could be facing some losses with the tougher opponents.

Sometimes it's hard to tell what things looked like on the field if you're looking at stats. I watched the highlights and Harvard's goal looked pretty sweet, but I know that was only a tiny part of the overall game. Yale's had a pretty consistently good defense, but their offense has struggled. I was expecting a higher scoring game, so I'm sure Harvard didn't play as well as we might have anticipated from the stats.

As for Brown, they didn't do all that well in the non-conference games, but could certainly surprise everyone and do well in conference. Harvard did terrible in non-conf games last year, but was one win off of winning the league at the end of the season. It's anyone's game at this point.

                      Dartmouth at #24

I see Dartmouth made it to #24 in the Top Drawer Soccer rankings. Anyone watched a game? Are they a top 25 team?

                            NU 1 - 0 Drexel.

NU are now 2-0-0 for concerfence play. Where are all the NU haters now? You couldn't wait to trash talk them a couple weeks ago.

Biting their nails and hoping for a NU loss so they can justify their kid not making Bolts
