My first chance to watch BC. The team has a ton of technical attacking players. They don't seem to have replaced their strong defenders from last season. The solution appears to be to use the attacking players back there. So they looked uncomfortable defending, as evidenced by 10 Q shots/7 corners/5 YC. That will work against the Q's, now 0-3. Not sure how that will play in the ACC.
You watched one out of 5 games…. an authority!!

And you are authoritative enough to determine whether someone else is an authority. Give it a rest!! Have another beer!! The poster was only opining based on a game he/she saw, which is well within their TS rights.

PB tore his ACL in January, red shirting his freshman year.

I am assuming that PB had a scholarship to UMASS Lowell. What happens to that scholarship if, G-d forbid, he were not able to play next year as well??

UML brought in a lot of recruits this year. Not sure how the money was split up. I wouldn't want to give a lot to a guy not playing.

Only saw the stream of the first half, (imagine only saw 1/2 of 1/5 and has an opinion!) but I would have to agree with this post, BC looked much more comfortable attacking (where they generated several good chances) than defending (where I thought they were lucky Quinnipiac was unable to capitalize on their opportunities).

I thought the GK was lucky to escape two of his own misjudgements without conceding, and needed a great save when one of the backs too a nap...

So yes, I'd agree that BC is ok versus "the Qs" but will have to step it up to compete in the ACC...

Scholarships are given annually. If he cant play, no scholarship

Sorry but I disagree, I am always happy to see attacking players who track back and help defend, while you say it's a bad thing - it always irks me to watch forwards dribble the ball up until they lose it, then stand around and wait for someone to get it back for them and pass it up...

An example of a striker who played both ways might be Charlie Rugg (Local kid, Bolts DAP, BC '09-'12, now LA Galaxy II); I recall DD (Bolts, Revs DAP, now NU) had that trait was well - and I am glad to see that approach with this crop of BC attackers...

Good luck to everybody this season!

OP of the original post. I was patient and the second half stream kicked in for circa 30 min. I notice that #17 listed as a forward on the roster, played one of the three backs, and had the most shots on the team and the last goal. There were a lot of nervy moments in the last 30 minutes with Q trying to equalize and not sure I would want one of my three backs standing 10 yards in front of the opponents goal with 7 to play ( although the second goal put the fire out).

                              PC. 2 -0 HC

PC looked very solid. HC defended well but just couldn't hold the ball when they were able to get into the offensive half. Credit to PC's pressure.
