Nefc u14 npl & usys national champions!!!

I didn't catch the announcer claiming the run of play for NEFC in the first half but I may have missed it. I definitely heard him say that an NEFC goal would be counter to the run of play and the portion of the game that's available online is quite lopsided in favor of Legend to say the least. That is the first game at the USYS tourney where I was impressed by the level of talent. The Legend team is legit and just being able to hang around long enough to steal one was pretty impressive by NEFC. In terms of game management the NEFC coach schooled the Legend side. Realizing the whistle had been swallowed. Packing it in. Made 4 to 5 minutes just evaporate on the clock (with the opposing coach's help) toward the end. I don't think the Legend staff has much experience playing from behind.

Where was the Legend keeper in the final 5 minutes? On the line. I was amazed at how many high value scoring chances Legend got in the second OT. Even with the defense packed in Legend was slipping through with little harassment from defenders. Those kids' games translate at every level. Very fast decision making and skill with the ball. If these teams played each other 10 times Legend would win 7 of them but anyone who could beat Legend 3 times is pretty good.

Not sure your assessment holds up. NEFC played Legends 3 times in the past year. Last year at nationals result was 1-1 and Legends went on to beat Michigan Hawks (ECNL) in final. This past week Legends won 2-1 in the first game and NEFC won 2-0 (OT) in final. Looks more evenly matched to me than you're giving NEFC credit for.

Sorry, but the belief that every one of them could displace every Stars ECNL player is what is arrogant. There is nothing all that special about the vast majority of the NEFC Elite team. Beyond the striker, the CM, and a couple others, the team is made up of ordinary 13-14 year old club players.

Which NEFC players are the special ones? I saw the video. It's not clear who is supposedly standout.

I doubt it. I have seen Stars u14ecnl play many times and they do not play as a team. They have quite a few talented players but don't play as a team, very selfish. Good portion of the blame goes to JD for allowing this but parents on that team are to blame also because they don't get it and they only think about if their kid will make the next camp. Bad chemistry on that team.

NEFC should be honored to be on the same field with that Legend team. Every Legend fan in attendance still has no idea how they didn't win that game 3-0.

Tell you how well JD's team is doing. When NEFC brought in a new goalkeeper for their national championship team, the current keeper got pissed off and joined the Breakers. The FREAKING BREAKERS!!! Shows how much respect is out there for JD and his merry band of malcontents.

When good players won't even consider going to play with that bunch of witches or be coached by that self centered lunatic that should tell you recruiting a better team just ain't in the cards for the Stars.
