Playing in Lancaster on fields 2, 3, 4 and 5 during the day in the summer is tough! It might be warm on the outsides where the spectators are, but in the middle where the teams are and on the field, it is extremely HOT!
Field 1 is hot, but not bad. The grass fields aare great to play on.

All our games were at Lancaster, it was fun and hot at times. It was low key and allowed HS age players to keep touches before their season. During the last weekend, storms moved in, and this situation highlighted an issue with the complex. Not enough shelter. Hopefully during the nationals, the state doesn't have the same issue.

It was a turn in the wrong direction for the program. They used to play 3 games a week, and at least half of the games were local. Now, for the same price you get 1 game a week and it's always 1.5 hours away from us.
It changed the program from being a great way for kids to play almost "pick up soccer" to another program where the train more and play less.
Why in the world would you have kids play on those turf convection ovens in mid summer? Why would you have everyone travel farther than they need to? It must be a cost issue. I know MYSA is forced to rent many of the local fields....now they are keeping that money. It's not a real savings though, as everyone drives farther, and the kids get 2 games less per week.

That was many, many years ago. It is just a rec type summer league for fun and HS prep now.

Are the bay state games a better level of soccer than districts? And how do they work with practices and the games?
