NEFC D was challenged about 6 times and defended effectively against half of those challenges. That effort would not have gotten it done against a decent team but, then again, Ds tend to fall asleep when the opponent is weak. Presumably they would play better against a better team. -

You just have to love the seething jealousy coming out of the Stars camp. Their teams weren't up to the challenge so now the everything about these teams and this tournament suck.
Here is a big clue for the rest of you, 13-14 yo players are not even close to being finished players (or people for that matter) so they are going to wildly inconsistent at this stage. Anyone expecting to see even a high school level soccer game doesn't know the first thing about what they are looking at.
Enjoy the ride, I don't care what level you are at, playing for championships is very cool. There are many athletes at all different levels of sports who have never even gotten this far, so enjoy it, you may never be here again.Comment

For all the blather about which club is better, which parents are more pathological, your post brought up the most important thing... when you at 13/14 years old, playing for a national title is pretty darn cool.
