GPS-MA Crusaders knocked out in semis today by Virginia's Arlington SA Eagles Red. Not at all surprising because that Arlington team is incredible. Great run by the Crusaders, they should be proud of themselves. (And no, I am not a Crusaders parent.)

Appears that BU14 Scorpions SC Boston will be the only boys team representing Mass at nationals this year. Good luck to them! There will be some very tough competition down in MD.

U18 Knights beat 6th-ranked nationally NJ champions. U14 Crusaders beat 25-ranked nationally NH champs and face 7-ranked nationally VA champs today. Sure, any ranking not perfect or precise, but those are results to be acknowledged and congratulated.

Crusaders fell 3-0 to that level of competition. Use the Knights as an example and you can beat those teams in the future, boys.

That can't be!!! ISN'T impossible for MAPLE teams to beat ECNL teams on the big stage??? Much less the NPL teams (joke). If you are going to travel...do it for a good reason. How does that make all the fools feel who dropped another needless $10k on pre ECNL this year? It only gets worse folks next year. There are plenty of good paths to get your kids noticed and this SS Select is proving it.

SS Select has a habit of losing their players to other clubs. Not sure if it will happen here but I would bet you will see leakage to NEFC, Breakers and Stars. Seems to be how it always goes for this club.

The only thing their accomplishment diminishes is the illusion being spun to all the parents by certain clubs that playing in their expensive travel leagues is the only way to develop the best players. This team is proving otherwise. Great for them and great for SS Select.

The only spinning is being done by you. Beyond, beyond boring. Let someone do something that doesn't have to be "proof" or "disproof" of something else. Let the team and others who would like to root for them do so without being caught up up in your agenda-ridden dragnet. Take a vacation, BTDT!!!!!
