There are players from Europe, Africa and Asia playing in Latin America. There are professional leagues throughout south and central america. You can play professionally in Latin america without playing in Brazil's first league, without speaking portuguese or spanish, without being of latin american descent.

Anyway, I am sorry to hear that the majority of parents on the Scorpions (or is it GPS) are so intense. It amazes me that your son continues to have fun. I guess he is not that in to soccer. Maybe you should just coach him yourself. My humble opinion.
