no need to take potshots at me for asking a question my friend..i read the thread and understood what people said the team did..my question was more around what the rules are for having players cross state lines as I wasn't aware that was allowed, that's all...can't even ask a question around here anymore when you don't know something...if I new what the rule was, I certainly wouldn't have asked

And then in a brilliant tactical move, GPS consolidated some teams and put together a power house team.
Back to your question, it was perfectly ok move.

We are talking about 10 and 11 years old playing soccer, right? Or are we talking about helicopter parents having their ego bruised?

Gps elite teams are only going to continue
For everyone that is bitter about how things have gone down you should educate yourself with how they are doing things. Its not going to stop. These teams are the reward for there top players in the club.
The GPS National Team Program was launched in 2012 to provide players that have excelled during their regional team play, the opportunity to train and compete in select events throughout the year. Players are nominated to attend GPS National Team events by their Head Coach and Regional DOC’s. Based on performances at the ID events players may progress to represent the GPS National Team. With Global Premier Soccer now operating in 10 states the GPS National Team Program now has a pyramid in place with teams competing in various events throughout North America and select International events, such as the Dale Farm Milk

I can't believe how petty you are. It is a meaningless 10 year old's soccer tournament. Yet you drone on about it like this really mattered.

Vw tournament
This tournament has been played for several years! My sons team played in this 3 years ago when they were u12. They were playing with birth year not aug 1 so older kids were rostered. It was frustrating to get beat but it was good competition. The blazers rarely got beat back then but it was good for them playing older stronger teams.
