Needham Tournament
Heard they were scouting this weekend so maybe all roster spots are not locked up.

Just curious.

I know for a fact that they do add kids from the tryouts but not many. If you have not been approached or contacted by the Revs here is my advice.
1) ask your child if they are fully ready to be committed 100% to soccer and no other sport.
2) ask your child if they are ready to go from the best kid on their team playing all the time to just another teammate and maybe sit the bench some and have the spotlight taken off
them.
3) ask yourself if you are prepared to not have any say in your child's
development/playtime. If you spend a ton of time on talking soccer, the answer is probably no.
If the answer to 1,2,3 is YES then sign up for the tryouts and send Gary Hall and Bryan Scales a quick email briefly summarizing your son, his soccer resume, and mention you will be at the tryouts. You may also want to give a game or two they can scout your son at in the next month or so, and that is it. Do not expect to get a response back unless your son is already on the radar. Then go have your son go to the tryout and have him try his best, nothing fancy, just work hard. Then see what happens and don't be disappointed by rejection.
PS.. If your son is not already playing for the top one or two teams at his club at his age group, then do not get your hopes up. The numbers just don't add up. And yes doing/paying for the RDS program will get your son seen better than just doing the tryouts. Yes it is a way for the Revs to make money, but it is also the way to be seen specifically by the Revs coaches without another 349 kids there.

also - if BS will be his coach, decide if your kid will be happy playing for him or if it will be a positive environment for him- if you're not in BS' top 5 list, your kid should be prepared to take or see a lot of unfairness and humiliation

Anyone actually know if Revs scouts are out watching top matchups like semis and finals at State Cup, Region 1, and better tournaments?
