      Scorpions Boys still exist....
We'll see what happens at tryouts. There seem to be a lot of unhappy parents across several age groups. Coaches are leaving or have left. There are special teams. There are forgotten teams. There are even hidden teams. The whole boys program is caving in on itself. If attendance is light the first night of tryouts the scramble will be on to attend other club tryouts. Stay tuned.

Well for a program that has no appreciable talent or accomplishments, they have 3 Boys teams in State cup Semi-Finals (U13-U18) tied for the second most teams with NEFC.

The rebranding of the Scorpions to the Boston Breakers Academy is a step in the right direction. I am not sure who will be calling the shots but I would assume they would have some sort of board or approval system in place to make every day decisions. I do not think FM or SS will be making these decisions alone. I also think there will be more organization and communication because they are now be under the Breakers brand. The Breakers will not want this club to tarnish their reputation.

Next Year's U15 and older will need about 4 or 5 better players to get over .500 for next year. Next year’s U14 and under will need only 1 or 2 players to be top of the table next year. This is a very easy task for this club and we should see an increase in competition from this club next year. The Boston Breakers Academy will have at least 5 years for them to turn it around just like SoccerPlus mergeing with FSA before they wil even think of removing them from the ECNL and your daughter will either be done with club soccer or already commited to college program.

sorry but other than the name change, service is still subpar. Comcast changed their name to Xfinity, but it still sucks.

But the boys will still carry the Scorpion name like an anchor around their neck? The Boston Breakers Academy will pay zero attention to the boys. Maybe that whole Mass City FC thing isn't as crazy as it first seemed. There could be a lot of boys there.

I would be interested in which coaches you have heard are leaving.

The boys program is flourishing if you look at results from this spring. It is the best season they have had in many years. Three teams in state cup semifinals and one other that had a chance to advance going into Sunday. I would not call that falling apart.

We need Bill O'Reilly to investigate, so the spin stops here.

You people really need to understand some simple facts. The Boston Breakers are a woman's professional team. Do you really think the boys program wants to be named after a womans program. Stop just hating and actually think logically before you post.

I also find all the negative propaganda against The Boston Breakers Academy is just a form of cyber bulling becasue you actually think they will be successful under the new branding. Keep posting becasue I think it might change some other peoples minds about what your club is all about.

If the pro-team is struggling in all aspects and traveling fast towards abyss, what makes you think that this re-branding will generate any more interest? I really don't see it. Please educate me on why I should move my daughter from top team at NEFC (it seems that you are targeting them) to go play for your team. Coaching? Competition? Money? Please don't bring ECNL cr@p because you are there for the past 4 years and you are spiraling down like flushing toilet.

I don't what? Do you know how many top players travel north to Stars and NEFC? Scorpions are trying to attract these players or players cut from these clubs. Is that right?

                          Comment

Your daughter should stay on the NEFC Elite team if she is happy, developing and getting quality playing time. Also if you like the new coach. None of my posts have been recruiting or bashing of any club. They have been meant to make people understand that the Breakers are going to be a better club moving forward IMO with the rebranding. The administrators and coaches do not recruit using this site just insane parents. I would assume if a coach from any club wanted a player they would already be talking to those players and seeing if they are interested in playing for their club/team. This is why the Scorpions rebranded IMO with the Breakers because it could help both the Scorpions and the Boston Breakers in the long run. Good luck with your try-outs at NEFC and hope your daughter has a great season.

On your advice I just looked at the Spring NEP results for every boys team.

                              The boys side had 30 wins / 13 ties / 46 losses.

If that is "the best season they have had in years" I wouldn't go around boasting about it. Here's how the top teams per age group finished up the Spring. I'm interested to see how you spin this.

Your best U11 team finished 6th out of 12 teams in the top division.

Your best U12 team finished 5th out of 10 teams in the second division.

Your best U13 team finished 7th out of 12 teams in the top division.

Your best U14 team finished 5th out of 11 teams playing up.

Your U15 team finished 6th out of 11 teams in the 3rd division.

Your U16 team finished 9th out of 10 teams in the top division.

Your U17 team finished 8th out of 10 teams in the top division.

As a club, the Breakers suck. Why is anyone even bothering to discuss them?
