I actually think the ECNL B team NPL is stronger than this NPL league of clubs espcially with FSA now merging with Soccer Plus. The only club that has strenght at all age groups is NEFC and some of the ECNL B teams are just as strong and would give them better games than the clubs in this new NPL league.

Too bad your kid isn't on any team!! Difference between ECNL B is that these teams are A teams and they will play crossover games with NYNPL.

I would always want to be on the A team unless the B team is better but then the C team has ability when it works hard is as good as the A team but not as good as the B team

So how is this improved and what is the difference in travel if they play cross over games with NY NPL. How many games will be cross over games. Only a few of the NY NPL teams are worth playing also. Keep spinning it as a win for your club and we will see how many top players come or go in a few weeks.

If you want to play on and against B teams for the rest of your club soccer career so be it. I don't want my kid shadowing the 1st team during these important years. You will always be second class and some of those B teams are atrocious!

Can't wait to see some of your score lines next year from your league. I would rather have my daughter play on a B team this better than your A team. Stop getting caught up with the status of the team but how they play on the field. On second though, keep getting caught up in it because we don't want your A team mentality on our team next year.

True, kids will never know what it feels like to play an A team unless it's in a tournament. Don't think creating B team leagues is a good thing for confidence. A few of those ECNL B teams could do pretty well in new NPL. Give it a year and they will transfer leagues again! For those that say that ECNL B league is good, you are not drinking the right potion of kool aid.

The new NPL league will be way better than playing in Maple and NEP because now those leagues will be C, D & E teams.

I will agree that NEP and MAPLE are going to shells of themselves with more teams going to US Club soccer club format leagues. The problem is that their will be no club with dominant teams at all age groups. I do think that their are a lot of B teams that are better than A teams in the New NPL at all age groups. The problem is that they are hit and miss.

                          Let's see

                          7 teams x 8 age groups x 17 players per x 2 parents + Interested clubbies = +/- 2,000 souls

JD: BB what's going on with this New England NPL?

BB: Don't know boss, this thing popped up out of nowhere.

JD: You think BTDT had something to do with it?

BB: I think so, he has gone anonymous on TS and wreaking havoc and coming up with tons of ideas for NEFC. IDP & New NPL league.

JD: Have you spoken to P yet?

BB: He is working on some big stuff for us.

JD: How about South Coast mate?

BB: Making some progress finally. Had to use some of the cash we had.

JD: Hopefully you are using your own money and not mine for that venture. Lancaster fee's are going up again.

BB: Told South Coast people we could fly them on a helicopter instead of a jet. Seems to be working. People aren't too smart in that area.

With seven teams there's only so many more weekends in the fall/spring to get crossover games in. As for the distance it works very well for most teams. The CT teams have more distance but less traffic/hassle. I think Yankee is pretty low down in CT so the Seacoast trip is going to bite for them and vice versa.
