Clearly someone with an allegiance to the ECNL is working very hard on all of the TS forums to keep the ECNL at the forefront of all of the discussion. It also calls into question Perspective's motives for resurrecting years old threads and keeping them active with wild accusations. There is an agenda there as well and it is becoming increasingly apparent that the two are linked.

Facts and figures versus wild accusations

Someone was busy. Someone who has a much clearer understanding of statistics and how they can be manipulated.

Folks, if you don't like ECNL, don't have your kid play ECNL. My kid doesn't play ECNL (our choice not because she didn't make the team), but I don't berate others who chose the ECNL path.

If your child is good enough to play D1 and you help them contact coaches, they will get a shot.

There are many choices available so make them and allow other families the same courtesy.

Everyone wants to believe they have made the better choice. That's what we do. It's how we justify our actions in and out of the soccer world. So yes, we all feel that the league/ club our kid plays for is the best.

It won't change your belief that the league/club your kid plays for is the best.

Just because someone says something doesn't make it true. If you and your child are happy, isn't that enough? Do you really need validation on TS that your choice/experience is a good one?

Can't we just be happy that we have so many choices?

No, everyone doesn't believe or feel such things: some of us already recognize and don't feel threatened by the fact that there can be different viable choices and that much depends on purely personal circumstances. Nor do "we" need to "justify our actions" re soccer. Justify to whom, for what, why? Obviously, there are things worth doing besides hyper-competitive girls' soccer. There are also less productive things. It is what it is.
