Looks like Will Packwood's leg has healed. He'll be joining Geoff Cameron on the USMNT roster against Ukraine this week. Cool.

Really? This exciting news and you make it a "who's the better club" discussion?
Also: I count ONE response to this soccer news of international scope. C'mon, now.

So let's talk about what we expect to see when the MNT faces Ukraine on Wednesday instead of talking revisionist history.

If he left Bolts at U14/U15 and was with the Bolts for two years, then he was at Bolts at U12/U13. That doesn't really leave a "few years" for another club before that.
No, perhaps you could have offered a post of congratulations rather than working in a club bash? But as a gutless internet bully who is only capable of hiding behind a keyboard and monitor, what fun would that be?

give it a rest
When 1-2 players every two years get called up to national team duties, it is very very hard to say that any particular coach, person, or club was responsible. It is more likely that these players are gifted athletes who got an opportunity to learn a game early in life. These few players are essentially anomalies.

They're playing Ukraine? Poor timing on that. First we move to Cyprus, which should bring brisk ticket sales, then Cyprus has a bombing, which will likely the game. GL with that.

Yes, Packwood probably did start at Inter at U8 (playing up on U9?), but I'm not 100% sure. He joined Bolts at U13 after being with Inter for a while. Can't see how my post you refer to is a "club bash" or an example of internet bullying. I was actually hoping you'd read it as a scolding of the basher! Maybe that was you, and you didn't like being called a troll? But that can't be because if it were you, it seems, you would have congratulated the guys (which you haven't done yet, BTW).
So back to my main point: Two guys from our state are on the roster for this week's MNT game. Cool (aka congratulations)!
