I don't see what the big deal in this. It is very very clear that there are three opinions of the DAP; supportive and addicted, supportive but not involved, and hating of it. The high school conflcts is another point to argue.

As for this coach from McDonough his issues do not necessarily reflect any particular angst of the DAP. McDonough is a prominent prep school and he does not want his better players not playing for the school. The solution is to do what he is doing; give his players (and others) another option. He clearly has a good reputation as a coach and feels that he can start a strong club and allow kids the opportunity to play both high school and on a competitive club team. Good for him and his players.

In time, one will see if he read the local attitudes right or wrong.

There's no doubt that more will follow. The writing is on the wall. The DAP has far too many teams to accomplish what it set out to do. DAP players are starting to realize the sacrifices aren't worth it for their diluted teams.

Are you kidding? It is not the number of teams. The DAP system, maybe, but look at the population of this country, and the population of youth soccer, and among that you can't tell me there are too many teams. It is the system that is broken.

All of the D1 recruits for year 2014 in MA will come from DAP clubs. An inconvenient truth I am sure for DAP haters.

Sure hope for your son's sake you are right because he's made a lot of sacrifices for DAP and it damn well better pay off, daddy-o.

Not at all. Nothing more to this than Stevie seeing dollar signs. If JD can make big bucks at Stars, think what Nichols name is worth. Just a money play

There is a player from Framingham going to BU so there is one who did not play DAP. I also think there are a couple of players from Ludlow going Div 1 that did not play DAP. Are all DAP players going Div 1 or will a few be going to Colby or SNHU

He is simply coming around to acknowledging what many people already recognize(d) to be the case
