The pendulum is swinging all the time. The 97/98 age groups are pretty heavy with ECNL but the jury is out whether that will continue through the younger ages groups if the NPL emerges as the competitive force it looks like it may become.

There's no such thing as "the NPL". Just a bunch of NPLs with varying levels of club quality. Completely different animal from the ECNL which is why EVERY SINGLE club in the country would dump an NPL designation in a heart beat if they could crack the ECNL.

NPL is a second tier regional set up, stop trying to push it as something that is equal to ECNL. It's just not no matter how much you want it to be.....
