Just looked at the list myself. That is strange. The roster is interesting that's for sure.

Agree but loses or wins at beginning of season are just as important as mid season, After a disappointing season last year NE is going heavy with foreign players.

NE lost to University of Hartford which looks like a Jamaican Israel minor league team.

What I think it says is that the college landscape is very complex and the coach needs to do what it takes to win.

Playing time translates into $$ for the student. The increase in foreign players means less money for local, the box scores tell what players at this time they think will help win.

Over the last few years with the exclusion of players from HS sports there has been and increase in DAP players going to NE. A great school. so that is not the issue.

Getting playing time and thus $$ is another issue. One kid is off to SD, Melrose kid seems to be real deal. I may be wrong but I think 7-9 kids from DAP are going to NE from the last two classes.

I was interested in watching UML and NE play this year. UML has a lot of HS kids that took another path rather than DAP. would have been fun but now it is rather watered down.
