OP here. One of a number of sources I use. This one happens to have the player I noted earlier.

If that is the case, I am guessing he is a need-based student and will be for all other schools.
Can anyone post a link where it is proven this player was convicted of the alleged crime?

Does it sink in with anyone that you are talking about a kid who was 13 or 14??? There shouldn't be a link because juveniles are supposed to be protected and have their identities protected.

Apparently players all know of disgusting behavior in games, such as grabbing a defenders crotch, and this is more recent than when he was 13 (or evidently 18). The locals currently on the Harvard roster certainly know - and would let the coach know.

That is once a player has verbally or formally committed. Not a list of schools that a player is looking at orca list of recruits that a coach is looking ar

No such list exists. The only way to know if a coach is interested in a player is if the player tells you.

well, after the coaches get wind of these posts, the offer might be rescinded..

You people are awful. I am on the opposite site of Perspective's political beliefs, but I 100% agree with him here. You know what I think? Most of you are jealous of a kid who is talented. And to put stuff out there so rudely, I pictures some of you cackling like Doctor Evil because "an offer could get rescinded" because of these posts. Seriously?! As if the school may not already be aware? Leave it alone and focus on your own kids.

Click on players name, then click on college choices, and there's a list of 5. As with anything online, it's up to readers to decide what to make of it

Let's hope he attends the college he prefers. It was just surprising that some of these schools that emphasize "values" sought a commitment (fully understood that it's not binding for either party) from this player, since even though his transgressions are legally sealed, they are also known in the soccer community. It's also a commentary on the press, which correctly or incorrectly will not explore the various societal issues at hand.

Not exploring what societal issues at hand? I'm amazed at how easily some pretty blatant thoughts roll off keyboards. The only way some of the comments made over the past few pages could happen is if the posters offering them consider a kid, quite literally, as "foreign." And not just a literally from a foreign country, but as literally foreign to them, as "Other," as "different than," as not of the same substance as the posters themselves. Some probably aren't even aware of how distant they are making themselves from a particular kid, treating him as though he is something very, very different. We would NEVER see the kind of comments we've seen about "one of ours." There would be outrage if it did happen. Parents of "our kind of kids" would be lawyered up in a heartbeat, and their "friends" would be laying waste to any posters who dared to attack, disparage, and actually hope for bad things to happen to a teenager. And then posts retorting that you must not have heard about what he did this year, as though our lily-white kids never got chippy or never committed a red cardable or lewd gesture. Maybe a few of you should read the book the young woman wrote about what goes down at a pristine place like Milton Academy or google the articles in the Amherst College paper about sexual assault. Really disgusting what some of you folks do here.
