Ah ha! I see what the issue is. Valeo U11 tied a town team in their futsal game. No wonder futsal is "useless"

Originally posted by Unregistered View PostI don't see anyone here claiming that futsal is useless. Obviously, it is an excellent source of training, can help improve footskills, and is a vast improvement over the "indoor soccer" that used to be played around here during the winter months. What people are objecting to is any assertion that wins in a winter futsal league--in a 5v5 game where rosters are hardly close to what they are during the outdoor months--mean anything in comparing teams or programs. That is how this started. Enjoy the futsal, enjoy the winter training, but lets not pretend (or claim) that these games and standings mean anything significant.
The Brazilians (and Portuguese) know how to train soccer players. 'nuff said.

You do what you think is best for your kid's development, we'll do what we think is best. Good luck 3 years from now.
