If they get passed FTF in the other group should be Soccer for Life. Everyone else has either moved 11v11 or is playing in YMS. Best of luck and safe travels.

What is the purpose of ranking u11 teams.. other than for the parents/coaches/clubs there seems to be little reasoning to do it. How are they even calculated?

Why would u11 be any different from any other age group? Its helpful for tournaments to set competitive brackets.

Tournament- and depending on the league- points. Play lots of tournaments or in a specific league, you will be ranked higher.

Funny perspective because I am QUITE certain that what you yourself wish for...i.e., having players/teams competing at the highest levels...is the very thing that tends to happen more frequently in countries/places where (organized) soccer clubs and youth participation is EXTREMELY abundant.

But of course, those places have it all wrong. Choices and opportunities and competition (the other kind) are bad, especially since, of course, they prevent, you know, the *best* players, from going where you would otherwise have them go. Instead, someone---perhaps you?---should appoint and anoint the __ (can you give me a number? is it 7, 5, 3, or just 1 or 2 that should only exist within earshot of metro Boston) number of clubs that offer the policies, locations, philosophies, personalities, teammates, playing time, positional preferences, prices, etc, etc, that will work for everyone and, more importantly, deliver, um, the all-important youth national championship and maybe even NT invite?

There should be MORE clubs like NU, not less.

Reading along and felt I had to respond at this point. I know this particular subject has been beat like a dead horse. I just want to say that these two kids are really quite well-known. A few others on the team as well. You might wonder why people come from a different city to train with a group of boys that have been essentially coached by their teammates' dad for five years. It's really quite simple. They see what these kids can do. They want the same for their kids. And so my point really is if you're looking for a good coach shouldn't you look for one that has trained a bunch of kids for several years in a row and then see what the outcome is?

I also think it's okay for many of the kids on the team to ride on these kids' coattails. Not all the kids are Division I for sure but the other kids will surely noticed playing on a team with this type of skill. So that is another thing I look for (for my daughter).
