According to you, or someone that sounds like you as a poster, NU has several exceptional players, which is a relatively high concentration. It also seems like the coaching is pretty decent if they have so many kids from just one elementary school.

Why don't you join them so we can all talk about something else?

Hmmmmm. Interesting (not that I haven't heard it before on TS). Too many clubs, too many kids playing soccer. Stop, stop, it is stifling development!

Funny perspective because I am QUITE certain that what you yourself wish for...i.e., having players/teams competing at the highest levels...is the very thing that tends to happen more frequently in countries/places where (organized) soccer clubs and youth participation is EXTREMELY abundant.

But of course, those places have it all wrong. Choices and opportunities and competition (the other kind) are bad, especially since, of course, they prevent, you know, the *best* players, from going where you would otherwise have them go. Instead, someone---perhaps you?---should appoint and anoint the __ (can you give me a number? is it 7, 5, 3, or just 1 or 2 that should only exist within earshot of metro Boston) number of clubs that offer the policies, locations, philosophies, personalities, teammates, playing time, positional preferences, prices, etc, etc, that will work for everyone and, more importantly, deliver, um, the all-important youth national championship and maybe even NT invite?

There should be MORE clubs like NU, not less.

AMEN! Someone finally making sense! These types of clubs with passionate coaching can only help the soccer landscape in this country. The problem on TS is these parents can't see past the their own kids situation. They don't care about the sport as a whole! We need to make it easier for these type of grass root efforts to continue!

There is the room in the sandbox for everyone. Personally, I could careless about NU and their players/parents. It is all about whether my son or daughter is progressing and enjoying themselves. Money is less important for some but maybe for other the "huge" club is a stretch $$$wise or it does not provide someome with what they want. Either way, I really could careless because it is NOT me or my family.

So, let us all just cut the crap and stop the HATE.

Let's end this stupid thread because its not about soccer anyomore. I has become a virtual version of "Dance Mom's" with a round ball.......

Where are the top teams playing this weekend?

NEFC on vacation... maybe with their towns?

It depends what you think is important, but I'd say yes. Team building, nutrition, tournament nutrition.

what I am saying about NU is that they have struck a good balance between the amount of time practicing, coaching, games, proximity to players homes, and cost. I have never been part of NEFC or Stars, but I know that the NU club practices more than the same aged MPS teams.

Whether they won at the Stars cup or not (obviously 'not') is not a big issue at U11 and U12 for me. What is important is how much better my son is getting and that their team is (based on standings) very competitive within their league (second place right now). Why would I want to pay > 2,500 dollars with a larger club when I can pay 1/3 of that amount with a club like NU?

The U11 NU team is in first place in Maple Green. The U12 team 8 v 8 team Blue is in second place, but have not played as many games as the first place team. Though I highly doubt you are with NU for the low cost.

Does NU have a development program for U7-10? What happens after the current group everyone speaks about grows up?

In Natick, with their town teams. Easily one of the best run tournaments out there--especially for this age.
