You are all missing the most important aspect of U12 and younger play.

Winning is not at all important at these ages. The only important thing is the development of the players first, with a distant second being the development of the team.

If you are in club soccer to win at these young ages, you are in for all the wrong reasons.

Please think about what you are doing and why you are doing it.

Good luck with your child's soccer. Enjoy it and support it without looking at standings or results at these ages. The players deserve much more than what you folks are giving them.

As mentioned several times, this thread is just for fun. Individual development is my primary concern for my son. Losing to a team of, say, large aggressive boys, means nothing. Losing to a team of highly skilled players means we need more work. The games are used to identify weakness as well as strengths. The thread is just fun for parents (despite the snarkiness that some just can not help adding--just ignore)

Yes, there are some absolutely terrible teams in Blue and Green in Maple. At the beginning of the season, Maple asks if you want your team placed in the higher divisions. I can't imagine what these coaches were thinking. I know that U10 competition is very variable depending on where you played, but it is difficult to see how anyone would think some of these teams were good enough to place high (even though the Fall season Blue and Green sections are not really all that reflective).

The parents and players can't be happy losing so badly every week.

Or winning so easily against teams with fake websites. Maple staff should be really embarressed. Fall is a catastrophe. Unfortunately the Maple people are so full of themselves and haven't adjusted to the dilution of quality teams so this will likely be repeated in the spring.

Maybe they cut the season short a game or two and have a jamboree the first weekend. Let the teams play in several games and then place the teams in divisions based on the results.

World Cup Columbus tourney looks competive.
Maple is hopeless, warmup scrimmages these type of tournaments.
Not much Maple will even bother to improv on current mess.

Actually some regular pickup game with the kids at the same level will be very helpful for the kids to develop.
                      Any follow-up to this?

Any predictions for this week in NEP Premiership and MAPLE Blue?

Maple swapped Stars B team with Weymouth in blue and purple.
They need to do this with about 10 more horrific teams in blue and green.
                            Total train wreck so far.

Well that is interesting. I wonder if Stars requested this. How will this affect the standings of teams who will have to play Weymouth instead of Stars in comparison to those who got to play Stars?

The Fuller Hamlets in Green have got to go as well. They are like the Bad News Bears. Although, I think the second Valeo team will win against them so maybe they will serve a purpose.
