Looks like there were some closer games in Maple (Blue and Green), but Valeo and Newton United continue the blow outs. These 2 teams have yet to play the stronger teams in their division. Maybe some good games with decent soccer coming up.

I doubt it. There are no decent teams in 8v.8 Maple Blue. It's a joke.

Sorry, thought I was on U12 thread. :)

translation: we don't play there anymore so it must be a joke if we are not involved.

No actually we play there and the competition is terrible. (not saying NEP is any better)

So is your son's team good? There looks to be a few good teams in that division (World Cup C, JSSA D, NU), but overall, the competition is not good.

Yes, his team is good. It's You pay all this money for soccer and Maple can't figure out how to make the divisons more competitive. I know at the older ages they do a tournament to see where to seed them. They should do that at the younger ages also.

I know this is a U11 thread but looking at this division, it appears that the strong teams do not even play each other! On the U11 side Green for example, NU does not play PTUSA. Maybe this is intentional knowing that there were too many weak teams in Blue and Green and this allows the stronger teams to have better records for actual seeding in the spring?

The only thing saving Maple at this point is that NEP is no better. Lets just schedule friendlies.

This weekend seems to have mostly good match-ups in Green.

There will be 2 major blow outs:
                            PTUSA over Tidal Wave
                            Ocean State over Valeo

NEFC will win over Fuller Hamlets; probably a blow out which will make NEFC feel better

                            Only 2 decent matches:
Newton United vs Galway (predict NU wins)
                            Liverpool vs Explosion (predict tie)

I was putting the NEFC vs Hamlets into the competitive category. Seems both are similarly weak and the transitive property quite often doesn't hold for soccer.

Looked againat Tidal Wave and now agree this isn't likely to be a competitive match.

The Ocean State game was the clear blow out for this week.

Looking forward to the Galway vs NU match up. Galway has finally brought their best players together onto one team and given them a good coach.

NEFC will definitely win over Fuller Hamlets. I am positive Ocean State and NU put their brakes on and capped their goals by half time against Hamlets. However, I am surprised that Ocean beat Galway 4-1.
