In other words there are no top divisions in the Fall of U11.
U12 is another story as teams decide whether or not to play 8 v 8 or 11 v 11. In other words the top teams will be spread out over at least 2 divisions until U13 when all are playing 11 v 11.
Nope. My son is with one of the winning Maple teams. You really don't know much about Maple. At u11 they place stronger teams on blue/green. This has been discussed many times. And if I had been with NEP I'd be commenting that the DOCs of those clubs arent doing any better with placement based on several blow outs I see there - but having a team in Premiership must help in marketing, which would explain why there are 16 teams. I want my kid to be in competative matches. Don't care if they win, just want it to be competative. Blow outs are useful to noons.

Any predictions for next week? Has the top Ten changed at all?

Stop bashing these teams and talk to your DOC's or move your kid to a stronger program.
        Bull****.

          Right on!
What I admire most are the teams that are getting beat really bad but keep playing their hardest all the way until the end.

And who do you admire most after that? The opposing coach willing to beat the brains out of a bunch of kids because, motivated by developing the creativity of his players, doesn't want to stifle their progress by preventing break away goals against a markedly weaker opponent in order to exercise good judgment, promote sportsmanship, and ACTUALLY challenge his players on the pitch when an opponent can't?

What a pathetic reality that some parents and coaches are OK with blowouts, willing to point the finger at the DOC of the losing side rather than themselves. No class.

No Class? You wonder way we do not develop quality players in the US! You think Messi, Rooney, RVP were told not to score at 9, 10, 11 years old? Why is MPS, Bolts, and others putting their teams into a division that is Premier? It's the DOC and clubs problem, not the coach or players.

This is a good point. DOC's need to do some homework and not place their teams in higher level divisions if they do not want to get blown out. Sportsmanship works both ways. Who wants to travel an hour to play a team that can't pass the ball? Who wants to lower their level of play just because the DOC of the opposing team did not do his homework on which division his/her team should be placed? This is why MAPLE and NEP need to have evidence-based divisions. KI from MAPLE asks each team in the Fall which level they want to play at. So you end up having blow outs. I am positive that each of the "blow outs" reported on Sunday could have been much worse--like 14-0--and goals were limited. Life is not fair. Get over it. And do your homework.

I love that Valeo thinks that all the clubs that had teams with blows outs have no class.

I was a bit surprised at the quality of some of the top tier team.... No need to name clubs as it was only week 1..

Remember, Maple went 4-1 in top Stars group. NEFC, WU and Aztec are the only top 10 MA teams in NEP. Many div 3, 4 and even div 5 teams in 'Preemiership' if there was only one league based on real skill. After 5 games several of these teams don't have a single win. Even in NEP there are 5 or 6 teams that should be in the tip group. Lots of big club politics, little real talent.

Yeah, I agree with that. MAPLE Blue and Green do not seem all that much better. Take the top in each league and let's have a tournament.

What is the difference between the MAPLE green and MAPLE blue?
