    U/14 Boys Stars Cup

Thoughts??? Top Division looks like it will be good competition.

Should be interesting. If Scorpions are the complete Blazers team, they should win it all again. Maybe this year teams get a little closer as kids continue to level physically.

It will be interesting to see the new NEFC team. Did they really get better? Also interesting to see how DAP selections impace teams. Several teams (NEFC, Crusaders, MPS Crusaders, NHPSA) lost their best players to DAP teams.

The 2nd division should also be interesting. Were Blazers able to find another whole team of early maturers to physicially dominate again? If not, I assume ACA runs away with this group.

CSU continues to promote itself as one of the top couple of teams in this age group, I don't expect them to manage a win.

It's a tough bracket. Unless the MPS Crusaders got substantially better I would be surprised if they get a win.

NHPSA has a good team defenders are hard to get through. Interesting to see what NEFC will bring to the field with pretty much a whole new Elite team. Scorpions already tired of them... would love to see them knocked down a peg....

Will be interesting for sure. From what I know NEFC has a new coach and not much of the old team remains. Scorpions are old Blazers and what is the new Blazers? Most of the top teams from last year have left MAPLE and moved to NEP. Not all though, so don't get all hot and bothered and make this a NEP vs MAPLE thread. Some good teams still there. Heard Abbey Villa got better. Does Nor'Easter still have giant goalie? Is ACA for real after their state cup run? No idea what is going on at MPS except for NHSPA which I assume will be strong as usual.

They lost to an actual town team. Why didn't Maple drop them because of lack of roster continuity? If they can't beat Framingham or Stars, they are going to have a rough fall.

NEFC doesn't seem so elite so far.

Heard NEFC only kept 4 originals, new coach and 11 new players....lets wait and see.

Scorpions are 100% the old Blazers team plus 1 or 2 new additions and they are dominating so far, as expected. They still look physically bigger than all other teams in this age group overall, but some kids are catching up and surpassing them so this may not be the case for much longer.

NEFC is almost an entirely new team and so far they don't look nearly as strong as last years team but time will tell if they can pull it together.

In the 2nd division, the Blazers team is all new boys, on the small side, too few players, and not looking so hot today.

All the teams that lost players to DAP are no doubt missing them to some degree.

Who will be in the finals? It's shaping up to be NHPSA and Scorpions.

Let the excuses begin... They were dominated by CSU, who according to the geniuses on this site should have been lucky to win a game this weekend.

Where did the original players go?
I remember seeing a game or two - in between my sons games - good team.
Did they scatter or bolt in unison?

Most were cut by the new coach who thinks he brought in better players to replace them (whether he's right remains to be seen, but so far not so good compared to last year's stars cup results), and a few players left on their own for other opportunities, one to revs, one to scorpions.

4-2 Scorpions this time, but Scorpions had no goalie and field players taking turns in goal. Good game but Scorps the better team. NH came out fired up. Scorps not used to the pressure but they figured it out.
