Scorpions haters take one on the chin!

Today the Scorpions got much stronger. Haters are going to hate. The synergy with the Breakers will bolster the girls program. The boys side will assimilate after the 2013/2014 season. Breakers coaches will work with both sides. The kids will continue to get great training. The Scorpions will become an even more dominant South Shore club. This will serve to undercut NEFC, the Crusaders, Real Boston and Galway. Game. Set. Match!!!

Nice try. Scorpions just took care of the future.

The Scorpions are becoming the Breakers, not the reverse. That speaks volumes about what is really happening here. Though this may in fact be a new beginning of sorts for the participants it also should be seen as the end of the Scorpions as we all know them. TS is the only place where a soon to be defunct organization would have the stones to pronounce themselves the big winners in a deal like this. Most clubs would have the humility to see the situation for what it is and allow the purchasing entity to gracefully assume the leadership mantle.

Nice Try. Scorpions are getting stronger plain and simple. It's great for the Breakers. It's great for the Scorpions. A positive change for both.

If this new wrinkle is nothing more than just a marketing arrangement then there is no benefit to Scorpions. They need new blood, not marketing hype. Believing their own marketing hype is exactly what has gotten them in the shape they are in. If this IS something more and the Breakers are actually going to become involved in the day to day management of the Scorpions then the Scorpions will become nothing more than footnote in Mass club soccer history just like every other acquired club has become.

Does btdt have a degree in marketing? He sure has an awful lot to say about it. He will say absolutely anything EXCEPT "nice job Scorps" or "nice job Stars." Transparent to a fault. Call he Scorps by whatever name you want, NEFC just solidified their spot at #3 (IF they can hold off MPS).

Can you possibly be any more tedious? You keep saying the same damn thing over and over and over.

What happens when the League (Boston Breakers) goes under again? Did it happen before... WUSA, WPS, WPSL and this is???

Don't be a fool to say stay ahead of those smaller clubs, they were never in the same boat. It's to compete with Stars, NEFC, Aztecs.

The future is promised to no one. TODAY, would you rather be with Scorps or NEFC? And if joining with the Breaker had come up for a vote for NEFC parents, would you have voted YES or NO?

The stingrays did this partnership with the Breakers a few years back. I think scorpions are making a bigger deal out of this than it is.
