Ok new to this club soccer thing and was looking for some feedback on the pros/cons for clubs in western ma. We are looking at fc stars, western united pioneers, fc euro and fc mass. Please try to be fair as it seems like a lot of people on here have an axe to grind

IMHO, this is my response to the clubs you mention:
FC Stars (west) Lower age group girls have not done all that well, and there seems to be a lot of drama around the club as a whole. Observe a training, and find out who is coaching before committing to anything. Plays in NEP and MAPLE
FC Mass, run by Ed Matz, head coach UMass women's soccer. Good facilities at UMass, and coaches have been well spoken of by parents. Big problem there is attracting critical mass of talented players who can push each other and learn in training. Plays in NEP
WUP, biggest club out west and making improvements on girls side. Just signed agreement with Scorpions to roster WUP girls on ECNL teams. Size of club probably allows most flexibility for matching player's abilities with appropriate team/coach. Plays in NEP.
FC Euro. Very small club, 2-3 teams, closely associated with Granby/South Hadley. Have had success in MAPLE with one of their girls teams, not so sure about their other 2 teams. Like all small clubs, particularly in MAPLE, which is becoming the secondary league in MA, you should check the license level of coaches. Plays in MAPLE
WUP and FC Mass both cost around $1200 for a year, EURO < $1000, Stars is around 1600-2000

Don't forget Pioneer Valley Storm. Another small club with the same comments as Euro. U14G (this year's) top team successful in MAPLE and in smaller tourneys. Not sure what to expect from U11 start-up team. Coaching done by parents for the most part.
