How do you know about a goalie the are bringing in. Does rivers have an early application program for soccer players I am not aware of? Do other schools do this?

Impressive season for ACH of Thayer. To score 15 goals on a two win team is pretty outstanding. Plus with St. Sebastiens left he could overtake AK with a big showing.

Let's look towards postseason. Rivers and Lawrence are definitely in for class B and Milton is in for class A. Question becomes do Nobles and St. Mark's make it for class B and does BB&N make it for class A?
The more ISL representation the better, but I have to think the non-ISL class A teams are better than those from the ISL. Berkshire, Worcester, Loomis, Kent, Exeter are all probably stronger than Milton and BB&N. I think the Class B ISL teams (Rivers & Lawrence) are as good as any team in New England, regardless of their classification.

Originally posted by Unregistered View PostAgree with these assessments. For the As, should be 7 locks (Andover, Berkshire, Choate, Hotchkiss, Kent, Loomis, Worcester). I suppose Milton gets the 8th, although Milton is not at the same level as these teams (I think NMH, who probably won't get in, would dust Milton). For the Bs, you have Brewster, KUA, Lawrence, Rivers, South Kent, Wilbraham, leaving Cushing, Nobles and St. Marks competing for 2 spots. Sorry- having seen them all play, Cushing is better than Nobles and St. Marks, but if they just go by records, both ISL teams get in.

In fact, looking at it, hard to see how they take any ISL teams as As- the challenge that a Taft or NMH faced week in and week out is just so much greater.
