Big win from the boys at SG over RL, 2-1. Was not impressed with RL at all, they are extremely different team from last year.

For any of you goons who thought one team was gonna run away with it, you've all been proven wrong today:
River's had a real tough time with an actual defense.
BBN lost to St. Marks who tied Lawrence. Rivers tied BH (who for all intensive purposes beat BBN). Lawrence tied Middlesex who lost to Milton who lost to Lawrence.
SO what all this actually means:
1) Rivers isn't going to run away with it (although to be fair BH d is the best in the ISL)
2) Lawrence with all their star power up top clearly still has some issues
3) BH now suspension free is going to be a tough team to even score on, none the less beat.
4) St. Marks are actually contenders

yes BH is the best defense in the league but they have a bunch of freshman up top. Rivers had the ball the whole game.

Rivers has trouble against physical defenders but are still the class of the ISL.
Bel Hill will always have solid defense, regardless of their forwards...will tie a lot.
St.Marks are not a top of the table team, Middlesex handled them and LA just cant defend.
Lawrence defense is weak, offense is explosive but team lacks chemistry.
Middlesex slipped vs Milton but are a very solid team with excellent goaltending.
BBN is overrated, will not stay in top 5.
Nobles is a team to watch out for that will surprise people.
Brooks is having a down year but still dangerous.
Thayer got lucky vs Milton. Will be the highlight of their year.
Milton caught Middlesex sleeping but are a solid team.
Groton is not great, will not be a huge factor in the league.
St. Paul's have the potential to upset people, but are not a good overall squad.
RL has started well, do not expect that to continue.
St. G's is another non factor.
Seb's and Governors are football schools in the fall.

What happened to this stellar BH against Bridgton when they have up 6 goals? One red card should not cause that kind of outburst. Either way, BH will struggle to score goals. Not going to be top of the table.

at the end of the day Belmont Hill has a good defense. they man mark the forwards and play with a sweeper. There offense is terrible. but Rivers is still in first place
