Same reason no one is talking about Brooks or RL. Not the same team as last year. If they have a good upperclass addition or two, however, they very well could be the favorites. As of now, I think they are one of a number of good teams that could make a run. Not a powerhouse like last year.

WG- one of the top two goalies in the league, all isl last year
TH & JC- best center defensive pair in the league, probably new england
WC & JK- WC was new england junior allstar game midfielder and JK has great ball skills with pinpoint accuracy
MF, PM, AV- Speed kills, MF and PM were two legs of the second fastest 4x400 in new england this spring, also are the two biggest players in the ISL this year. AV showed his quickness on the lax field this spring. These three bring the speed to the field.
Other teams won't get the same production out of their seniors this squad will.

Of course that's good, but if it's an argument for why a team would have an advantage in ISL, it doesn't support the claim that ISL soccer is better than the good MIAA leagues.

I agree. Glad to Know Bell Hill is has average speed. If the cant dribble what will the speed even do.

here's a novel idea, instead of speculating who's got waivers, what teams added international players etc. why dont you wait the month and a half until we actually find out?

Why is everyone already counting Brooks and RL out? Those teams were obviously very successful because of great senior classes, but it's not like they didn't have any solid underclassmen.

A very good point. RL has some very strong players that didn't stand out last year since Pat Barry and AWO stole the show last. PB is an elite striker, who received limited time last year behind those two top strikers. YK is a talented player who was forced to play left mid last year, but he will play his preferred position this year attacking in the middle of the field. PB, YK, and RS will be a very productive offensive trio this year. The RL team has only 6 returners, and every one would have contributed on any other team last year. We will see how much they learned from the 17 seniors that graduated last year. No doubt they will be a solid offensive team, but the midfield and D are unproven. The players that fill those roles do have potential, but we will have to wait and see whether or not they can get the job done. I would imagine Brooks is in a similar position, with many solid players that didn't get a chance last year because of the studs that started on those teams. Both historically strong programs, I see no reason to count them out.
