The jerseys are the least of their problems. First, make it truly an ODP environment- hire better coaches and fire many of the jokers they have now; take only the best 18-20 players; play in weekly games against competitive teams, only the top 10 of these players per age group/gender make it to ID camp etc... It's more about raking in the dough right now than finding and developing the best players.

Can you be more specific? Hire which coaches? What age groups are you talking about? Lets have some solutions to the perceived issues please.

Start with the 99 girls. Coaching is disgraceful and they keep bringing in players to replace those that quit. The pool is so weak now it is embarrassing. 1/2 of them wouldn't make a decent premier team.No Rider to go to either. What has the training been for. What a complete waste of time and money. I thought crazy hat day was the low light, but the training since and last nights standing around fiasco easily topped that dreadful day.

Not U12 girls! Lots of talent. With coaching the final team would easily beat or compete with any of the top teams in MA premiere, ECNL, or NPL.

Looking around the fields, it appeared all teams had kids standing around so it was across many age groups. Agree there should be more of these out of state friendlies as its a good way to see how a kid performs under pressure. Whether it is rider tournament or single state games there is definitely room to add to what is done now. There was a crazy hat day? Downfall with missing this tournament is missing the chance to play against the other teams in the odp regions. Still don't get that decision and I'm still speechless.

Having fun so far! The team definitely better then the premiere team my kids on; passing, ball control, and athleticism. Nothing better then having your kid play with talent.

Isn't that the deal with ODP in MA now. A bunch of kids who are average at best with a few studs? Why is it attracting the lower tier players and where why are the top players not bothering with ODP?

The problem with the 98 girls is that they have a lot of players who didn't make the A team of their club. Or didn't make Certain A teams at certain clubs. What does that tell you????

You still have a NT player, a high RT player, and a couple of RP players active in that group. Along the way that age group has had a good number of players selected to the regional pool. True a lot of the players have simply run their course with the program and left because they had gotten as high as they were going to get but you can't suggest that the group does not have talent in it or that ODP has not done a pretty good job helping some careers in it.
