The seedlings were correct? Are we taking divison 1? 3 of the top 4 were out in the first or second round…whattu mean it was done correctly

Okay - I am calling BS on the above statement by that Leda Lotharia wannabe poster! With a 2.92 GPA from Vandy, going on to state that the kid could not get into any graduate school (really? not a single graduate school anywhere?) is the biggest line of crap I have read on this forum for a long time. Personal story regarding my kid, the MIAA, and college opportunities: Good Soccer Player, Good Student, Good Test scores, taking tough High School classes. Was seeking smaller private, top academic schools to attend on the East Coast all around 60K (or more) a year. Had a good chance to get admitted to all five but not a snowball's chance in hell of getting any academic money from 4 of the 5 that made the final cut which in essence would have made them all unaffordable. With soccer - and I am sure with the MIAA (as I highly doubt that any of theses schools would have been able to watch my kid play- numerous times over the past year and a half) - not only was admission guaranteed, but a very nice athletic scholarship offer came from all of them making them all a bargain - for a top tier education! Not at all saying that this would not have played out if my kid didn't make the move to one of the top clubs in the region - who happen to play in the MIAA - but my brain tells me that the this would not have been the case. For her team of mostly juniors to be, every single one are going to play D1 soccer, from mid majors to top programs. I have to qualify this by noting that all but four are playing within a four hour drive. This is by personal choice, however, as there was interest from colleges across the country for each and every one of them.

Girls. On TS it is always about girls unless otherwise noted. Top 4 girls are alive and well.

It's weak to keep pushing "win" as the measure when the goal differential data is right there for you but you ignore it. Especially the Brookline case, which was as near a tie as could be.

Also, look in the other divisions. There are plenty of high goal wins in the second round, by teams other than the #1 seeds which are exceptions (Natick, Masco, etc). That's what you would be seeing in D1 if the Bay State seeding wasn't whack.
Winning is not the measure? What world do you live in. Many top teams win by smaller margins. They may not score a dozen in a game
but they defend and possess well. Those teams that score in bunches but can’t defend get bounced in the first or second round - as soon as they face a halfway decent team. In the end, they may end up with a positive GD because they scored a ton in game one, but they are heading back to club training a week earlier than those (rightfully) higher seeded teams.

In the quarter finals ,out of 8 teams , all were ranked in top 10 and at this writing the top 3 made it the final 4.stupid thread. Someone who overvalues their kid team whining.

The person that started this thread should be banned from ever being able to post here again. The worst read ever. Why you ask? The girls and boys use the same weight. On the girls side out of the five divisions in the final 4,they could all be the top 4 seeds in each division(2 games left but guaranteed at least 3 divisions)n. Only 1 team ranked higher than top 10 (14) still left. Great job MIAA (i can’t believe I am praising them but give credit where credit is due).

On the boys side, the much heralded Baystate league teams lost to seeds 39, 35, 20, and a lower ranked CMass team. The only team left is one of their worst teams with only 4 wins that somehow beat the 2 seed. Great seeding!

The top three seeds on the boys D1 side were a collective 1-3. They only managed to win one game collectively before being knocked out by much lower seeds. Seeds 4, 8, 14, and 31 are in the semis.

Seedlings are impossible to get right. Success in the tournament is very random. Health is a huge part of it. I know a couple of the top ranked teams had 10+ days off leading into the tournament which really disrupts momentum.

Girls side was pretty much accurate with 4 out of the 5 divisions having the top 4 seeds remaining.

The top seed in the boys D1 from EMass lost to the best WMass team. Trouble is one was top seed the other 17. BS!
The top Baystate team #3 seed lost to 35 seed from EMass. They both had similar W/L records but no crossover in conference play. BS again!
