    NEPSAC - Boys 2024

Coming away from the ISL only chat!

Who do you all think will be the best in their classes from A-C

Winners & Surprise Packages if any!

Here are mine, give us yours!

    A: Winners - Milton
A: Surprise Package - BBNN (New Coach, new approach, better outcome)

    B - Winners - KUA
B - Surprise Package - Who knows how Rivers will do, lost a lot, St Seb’s on the rise and watch out for Dexter, heavily recruited Bolts NAL players, Roxbury Latin should do better than last year!

C - St Andrew’s, Vermont Won last year, don’t know how many graduated and should be in the reckoning.
C - Surprise Package - Concord Academy could have a strong year, a lottery with the rest.

Why start another thread like this? We only care about FC Stars around here.

Sebs is in Class A. KUA also graduated a lot. Rivers is still loaded, but young. Nobles also still has young talent. St. George’s will be tough but young too. Anyone know if Brooks had a good recruiting year?

Just looked at Dexter’s schedule. I’d say nearly impossible to make the tournament with that schedule. They play so many bad teams, so they would have to beat Sebs and RL probably to get in.

Sebs is a pre-season scrimmage. Dexter can’t make the tourney with that schedule. Unless they beat RL and Middlesex and get 13+ wins.

General question- I have a son who will most likely be playing MLSN next year but I am interested in getting him
into a better academic school than he is in now. I read that there many MLSN players in this league. How do they acquire waivers to play? How do they manage demanding training schedules? Thanks for any info

If they are top end players they hold the cards. Tell the club you need a waiver or you will go to a competing club. If they are bottom of the MLSNext roster, they don’t have any power. They can ask and they might be told no. If that happens, and you’re admitted to one of the top schools and top programs (Milton, Nobles, Rivers, BB&N), then I’d advise to go to that school and play NAL.

This is the correct advise. But honestly as parent of a kid who played MLSNext and goes to one of those schools, it doesn't matter if your player is top or bottom of the roster, MLSnext schedule is complicated for a top academic program, most of the mls next events happen during normal school schedule and if your school has Saturday's classes it's even more complicated, kid is going to miss out on a lot of team practices during fall, games and events. A lot of programs get stronger during spring when all they prep players are able to join them, if you decide on going on that road IFA has tons of prep school players, NEFC and Bolts don't have many and Seacoast and Valeo would be on the same level as a NAL top program

WA lost to Loomis 6-0. The graduation of their star goalie left a big hole to fill,

Wow, Loomis lost to Berskshire 2-1 the other day with a very good match on both ends, i wonder if WA played with a B team? maybe? 6-0 is a rough to a team like WA, either way well played Loomis

No way WA played with a B team. It was their first loss in the regular season since 2019. Proctor would not field in a B team.
