So how is Dana Hall in? What quality wins do they have compared with Govs?

Neither should have made it. Govs record disqualified them. Dana Hall was rewarded for a puff schedule. They should have been excluded as well. Committee must have looked at the # of wins without looking at the context.

There's precedent for letting in teams with poor records who play a tougher schedule. In fact, last year Dana Hall did not get a spot with a 12-5-1 record and St. Mark's was the #6 seed with a 6-6-5 record and Rivers was #7 with a 7-9-1 record. Is Gov's 6-6-5 record isn't really anywise than Brooks 8-7-2 as the #7 seed this year and they certainly would have put up a better fight than either Dana Hall or Cheshire.

Came down to record against playoff caliber teams. Thayer wasn’t even part of the conversation.
Did your kid not make the squad? Were you part of the previous toxic coaching staff? Or do you simply enjoy posting crap in here?

You’ve spent the past 2 months beating up on Thayer. Please explain where the hatred comes from.. They actually were a solid team, much better than expected, dealing with season long injuries/absences. Their GK was a shoo-in for All American, D1 bound center midfielder couldn’t play a minute. Other 2023 starters missed the entire season. Who knows why they scheduled High Mowing? That’s a question for the administration.

With the players at hand, Thayer and Milton tied each other and had an identical 7-3-2 record against common opponents. Of the remaining three games that each team played, Milton played all 3 against Class A teams. Thayer played 1 class A, 1 class B, and 1 class D.
You are correct, the High Mowing game is a question for the administration. You should be asking it. It looks like it cost you a playoff berth.

When parents come to TS and talk about missing players,
injuries etc. it’s pathetic. That is sport. Every team had injuries, graduations, absences etc. it’s the nature of sport. You just look like a whiner …. That’s why they play the games

Now that the seedlings are officially set, what do we think the outcomes will be? Any major upsets coming? Let’s hear your thoughts!!

Not the poster you are talking as I have not posted on this thread to but we can only judge or asses the team that is on the field. The constant reference to the injured players who are not on the field has no impact on the discussion of the team on the field. We don’t live in what could have been but instead in the actual play in the field…the wins and the losses.

All of the things you say are true. So is the post you are responding to. Losing players in pre-season doesn't create a sympathy vote for playoff seeds.
