Porters is loaded with young talent, especially in the midfield and up top, went undefeated last year up to losing to Westy in semis 1-0, who they beat in regular season along with loomis and choate . They’re the team to be watched for playoffs.

Porters is fine. But they definitely aren’t THE team to watch in the playoffs. Scoring lots of goals against schools like Kent, NMH and KO isn’t exactly surprising.

Hotchkiss also lost to Ethel Walker 3-2.
Choate beat them 7-0.
Hotchkiss has not played one top 8 tournament team yet.
They get to start their schedule on Saturday vs Choate and a wake up call.

Funny. Some wake up call. Hotchkiss dominated the game for long stretches and Choate was lucky to escape with a tight win after a quick 3-0 lead on a couple bad goalie efforts. Choate back line is very strong as is their goalie. Unimpressive everywhere else. Switch goalies today and that game is a draw and maybe even a Hotchkiss win. A win is a win and Choate pulled it out but I can’t see that team winning it all. Not a chance.

Not sure if we were watching the same game. There was one 10 min stretch where Hotchkiss was strong, otherwise dominant by Choate. Knocking a keeper for allowing a weak goal is just crappy by an adult.
