Milton just reloads every year. Their bench is usually full of player that can start on any ISL team.

Good Luck to Brooks coach for a speedy recovery.

Middlesex v BBN game looks to be for 2nd place (assuming no surprises).
How could a goal look in when I’m sure you were 40-50 yards away in the stands Unless you’re the AR?

          smh

I'm not sure about that, the ref was not up to the task, and I hate to say it here because I know their job is hard but the fact that a team had control the entire time was because the ref kept making those weird calls, the fact that at the end of the game, there was a clear push inside the box and he just looked the other way. Players were out of their heads because he kept making those calls, there was even a kid who was bleeding from Brooks from a clear foul, when this kind of thing happen you can tell the ref let the game get out of his hands. Rivers played better maybe but we are talking that they played a team without their coach, a key player, and with the ref against them from the first minute.

I was at this game. The ref was not against Brooks. Yes the ref could have been better but maybe we was tired of all the fouling. The Brooks players were fouling all over the field from the start of the game. They got SEVEN yellows. All deserved. It was typical Brooks style of play. The ref also missed a penalty in the box near the end when a Rivers player went down. Brooks has quality players each but their style can hurt them sometimes. The score was a fair representation of the game.

It was only a couple of years ago that Brooks lost a point for accumulated yellows over the course of the season, which ended up costing them the ISL championship. They've had consistently strong teams over the years, but they can be hard to watch with all of their talking, complaining, diving, and cheap shots. It's ironic because the head of school used to be their coach, as was their dean of students. Two positions where you'd think sportsmanship would be a priority, but apparently they'd rather win by any means. It's a shame.

While I agree for the most part, let’s remember they have a new coach. So hopefully it’s a fresh start for the group

Well, based on what people said about the game today and their 7(!) yellows, it sounds like more of the same. But ... I'll reserve judgment until I see them in person. If the new coach can just get them to stop their constant whining to the ref, it'll be an improvement.

Academically? For soccer? Without knowing anything about your son, it’s impossible to answer. As a general comment, it’s extremely hard to get into, and the soccer program is among the best in New England. The top program in the league is Milton. Then Rivers, Nobles, & BB&N. BB&N is very good this year and their new coach seems to be good. BB&N is also much easier to get into than those others. Despite that it’s still a very good school. I would recommend applying to all 4 of those schools if your kid is an elite player (MLS Next at Bolts, Revs, IFA or NAL high impact player at IFA. All of these programs only want your kid if he’s top 100 in the state for his birth year.
