Lots of chatter on different posts on the various age groups at SSS and how they fared in their 1st showcase as an ecnl club.

07's 1-1-1 good showing +2 GD
08's 0-3 -13 GD
09's 1-2 -4 GD
10's 0-3 -6 GD
11's 2-1 0 GD
12's 0-1-1 -2 GD

overall SSS went 4-11-3
with a -25 GD

Decent showings by the 07's and 11's.

The 2011 team played some of the best teams in the northeast beating world class and PDA Blue. The 2011 team is legit.

2010’s played PDA Blue, WC, SUSA.. all ECNL…3 of the best teams in the NE…so they def got their $$ worth.

09s lost to PDA Blue 5-0 and then lost to Ukrainian Nationals 2-1. Beat SDA 2-0

10, 11s and 12s all played the top ECNL clubs. 11s with good showing. 12s very competitive too

Huh???? The 10's and 12's combined didnt win a game all weekend. Thats how you select people are judging your teams now? That wont cut it. In GA all we ever heard was how great your teams are now its they were competitive but lost.

I wrote that and I am not a select parent. This thread was started to bash select which is perfectly fine with me. I’m just pointing out that the 2011 team is a legit contender to make the playoffs in year one. In the last year they have beaten Susa,Stars blue,pda blue and some other top teams. On any given day they can beat anyone in the northeast. You will call me a sss dad but I am not. They deserve praise for what they did this weekend

There are these new things called scores that leagues and tournaments publish on this thing called the internet. When a Massachusetts team beats two top 15 teams in the country in the same season it’s safe to say they are a good team.
